Annette is the mom of a 35-year-old son, a member and Past President of the Juneau Gastineau Rotary club, a licensed boat Captain, underwater photographer/videographer, and retired from a 33-year career in Information Technology, receiving awards from the State of Alaska and Microsoft. She is a member of two Rotary International Fellowships, Scuba Divers and Photographers.
She is a lifelong Alaskan who knows these waters both above and below the surface. She has been a Captain for the past nine years running commercial fishing, charter fishing, and whale watching boats in Sitka, Ketchikan and Juneau. When not running boats, she can be found on her own boat fishing, diving, and exploring and photographing the waters around Southeast.
Her underwater photography is used in several scientific sites, scientific writings, printed in newspaper articles both in the US and Canada. Her underwater videos have been used in programs like Deadliest Catch and she was featured in The Alaska Triangle episode that focused on the wreck of the Canadian Pacific Steamship Princess Sophia. She is the underwater expert on the Princess Sophia shipwreck and has presented that wreck in several shipwreck symposiums.
